Rendering with oil pastels

Oil pastels were used to show the texture of each object. Shade and shadow was also achieved through the pastels

Rendering with oil pastels

This was done using the 'pop art' style. Oil pastels were used for this composition.

Rendering with colour pencils

Through colour pencils, the material and shade and shadow of the objects it reflects is shown.

Rendering with markers

I have tried to show the difference of colour and the material by using only markers.

Sciography

This was an outdoor sketching session, where we had to select a good spot where perspective plays a major role and sketch the view.Shade and shadow was added to the sketch.

Sciography

Through this picture, the way ligh falls on an object and its shadow was studied. The intensity of the shadow according to the light falling on an object was understood.

Composition using lines

Straight lines were drawn randomly across the sheet and each block created was coloured. Only three colours could be used. Each time this process is done, a new and interesting pattern is achieved.

Texture

The aim was to create a composition using textures of different materials. The textures of leaves, rope, corrugated sheet and finger prints are used.

Illusion

Using black and white lines, an illusion had to be created. The concept used here is broken mirror. The broken mirror itself creates a good illusion of whatever it reflects.

composition using squares

We were given small squares of different colours. The problem given was to design a composition to the theme celebration.I have shown the celebration of rain. The grey water droplets are shown as fire crackers which are a part of celebration and purple as the wind.

Composition using dots showing proportion

This was one among my first design problems.Through the composition, i have shown one of the principles of design-porportion.The idea that lead me to this design was the movement of a snake.
